The following is a summary of sermons by Pastor Paul C. Jong, Godā€™s servant who authored ā€œHave You Truly Been Born Again of Water and the Spirit?ā€ and numerous sermon collections, all of which are translated into various languages and available for free download on The New Life Mission website.

Ā

ā€œFor God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. ā€œHe who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.ā€ (John 3:16ā€“18)

Why do you believe in Jesus?

Why Must We Meet Jesus Christ?

Is it to become rich in this world? Or do you believe in God for worldly power, health, or to gain something else in this world?

Or do you believe in Jesus to be saved from sin and to be born again as Godā€™s people without sin in your heart, to live for His glory according to His will, and to go to heaven?

ā€œFor God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.ā€

God said, ā€œFor God so loved the world,ā€ and the ā€œworldā€ here refers to us, human beings.

God sent His Son to this world as our Savior and by having Him baptized, transferred all the sins of this world that we commit onto His Son.

Therefore, God did not judge us but made His Son atone for all our sins by judging His Son on the cross, who had taken our sins.

And He made Him resurrect from death after three days, and gave eternal life and made enter into heaven all those who have become sinless by believing in the water (baptism), blood, and the Spirit (Jesus being God) that His Son accomplished.

God loved us in this way.

Those who accept this love of God by faith receive salvation.

In other words, we must fundamentally believe that Jesus is God, and when Jesus received a baptism identical to the laying on of hands from John the Baptist, who was the representative of humanity and the last high priest, all our sins ā€” namely, those of the past, present, and future ā€” were transferred to Jesus.

And by believing that Jesus was judged and died on the cross in our place for all the sins He received through baptism, we are made into holy people without sin in our hearts, which is the love of God.

ā€œHe who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.ā€

We are imperfect and bound to sin.

But those who believe that all our sins were transferred to Jesus at once through John the Baptist, the representative of humanity, and that Jesus was judged in our place for our sins on the cross, are born again as those who are clean like white snow, without sin in their hearts, and enter heaven without condemnation.

If one does not believe in the truth of salvation that the Son of God accomplished through water (baptism), blood, and the Spirit, in other words, if one does not believe in Jesusā€™ baptism as the truth of salvation and does not actually transfer their sins to Jesus, they will have sin in their hearts and face the terrible judgment according to Godā€™s Law that ā€œthe wages of sin is death.ā€

Why Must We Meet Jesus Christ? If we do not truly meet God, because we continue to commit sins in our lives, we are bound to live in hypocrisy, without satisfaction, oppressed by sin, and in sorrow and pain. Those whose sin problem is not resolved cannot truly love others because they are tormented by their own sins.

If Jesus Christ had not taken away our sins through water (baptism) and blood, we would have to live in despair.

Those who truly meet the Lord come to know that He has saved us from all sins through water and blood, and thus can live a blessed life as Godā€™s people in this world, along with the blessing of eternal life.

Therefore, we must meet the Lord.

Those who still have sin in their hearts because they have not truly met the Lord should read the sermon collection ā€œHave You Truly Been Born Again of Water and the Spirit?ā€ by Pastor Paul C. Jong, Godā€™s servant at The New Life Mission, and truly meet the Lord to receive complete salvation.
